This product didn't do the job. The corners all folded outward, so my kids' dirty shoes still touched the seat. And the pocket wasn't tight like in the picture. My son's shoes kept catching it, as it was bulging outward. I think I kept the seat protector in the car a week. They should add something to hold the corners steady. Ugh...I wish I could get my $10 back! Oh well...live and waste money. Good luck if you decide to buy. Oh, it doesn't hold the shape you see in the picture, as I said. No way...no way.

This protector works fine with my Chicco infant car seat. The protector is secured around the seatbelts and within the seat. The carseat has a level indicator that shows the steadiness of the carseat. So far the carseat is steady and secured. I have heard by some that this protector is not safe. A customer from another site had the protector inspected by the police department. They said that the car seat is unlevel and unsafe. The protector does not allow clearance for the latch belt or safety belts. I'am not sure what type of car they drive to have this problem. It was also stated if you're in a crash, the car seat manufacturer's won't warranty your car seat if you're using the protector. I can't speak for other infant carseat brands that are being used, but no problems have surfaced at this point. I always check the car seat level indicator and seat protector. If it becomes a problem, the protector will be removed. Use your own judgement, as I'am sure you will for the safety of your child.

The baby doesn't like the feel of them, makes an awful face at first like she's chewing on something rotten. Once she gets enough milk coming out she will suck on it, but it slips out a lot if you don't watch it. I have an issue with them staying sealed, the edges like to flip up, but these at least have the squared design with cut outs. Much better than the rounder models which I had an issue with because they kept flipping up over her nose and suctioning on, interfering with her breathing. Still have to work to keep them sealed and in her mouth, making it a pain, cause I only have two hands to position her with. They also make an annoying sucking noise sometimes. Overall, they are a savior, because she goes through a growth spurt every few weeks and seems to forget how to feed. She gets franticly hungry and clamps down before I can completely shove it all in her mouth. Her bite pressure is horrible and she cracks the upper base of my nipples when I try to latch her on. These help maintain a barrier that relieves the pressure and friction so I can prevent or heal any wear.

If you are checking in your car seat and are looking for a car seat protector to go with your GoGo Kidz Travelmate, this is the one to get. There is an opening for the handle and it also has zippers at the bottom if you want to pull the wheels out and roll the car seat. When you check it in, you can tuck the wheels and handle back inside. A nice surprise are a few exterior pockets at the back of the bag to hold some necessities. It also had some straps so I was able to carry the empty bag around the airport on my shoulder until I was ready to pack up the car seat.



My car seat is the Britax Marathon so it took practice getting the car seat inside the bag but it fits, even with the Travelmate attached, when the bag is expanded to its full size. The bag is also roomy enough to pack things inside the car seat. I gate checked the car seat so when we got to the gate, I put in extras like jackets and toys that we weren't using. The canvas is sturdy and so far, it has survived a round trip flight.

I purchased this bag along with the Go Go Kidz Travelmate for my last trip with my 11 month old (I have the Britax Marathon seat). The bag is nice and sturdy and protected the seat and travelmate very well through the trip. As other customers have written, it is a little snug when you are pulling it over the wings of the seat, but if you practice a few times at home you get the process down and I think the bag stretches some too. I was able to put it on alone at the gate with my son. I simply had my son still strapped into the seat while I laid out the bag on the ground and lifted the seat into it. Then I pulled up all sides of the bag with my son still in the seat and when we were ready to board, I took my son out and zipped up the zipper with one hand. My only complaint is that the holes for the wheels don't aling that great so you have to pull the bag up around the wheels; but it still worked just fine for wheeling the whole thing up to the plane. I don't know if it would work as well wheeling it all the way through the airport.

Try as we might, we could not get our Britax Boulevard to fit in this bag. It arrived in the mail the day of our flight but we should have made some time to try it out before going to the airport. We didn't, and there we were in the airport garage trying to get either our 2008 or our 2009 Britax Boulevard to fit, to no avail. Perhaps we were doing it wrong. Don't know--there were no instructions.

This was a great quality, heavy-duty carseat bag. I felt that it did a great job of protecting my carseat when we flew recently. The bag DOES fit my Britax Marathon car seat with the Travelmate attached. I did have to make sure that ALL the expansion zippers were open and it was still pretty snug. It took some strategic tugging to get the slack in the lower, back area to shift and get the "wings" of the seat and the very top of the seatback tucked into the bag, but it is possible. I don't know if a carseat exists that is any bigger and bulkier thatn the Marathon, but if so, it might not fit. However, once you get the bag wrapped around the edges of the seat, there is still a good amount of useable storage space to pack extra stuff in as well. The bag has a heavy-duty zipper that goes all the way around the seat area so you can open it all the way and put your seat down into the bag and then have the whole area where your child normally sits to add more packables. I fit a regular pillow, small blanket, large stuffed Pound Pupppy and zippered vinyl bag (the kind bedspreads come in) with about a dozen size 5 diapers plus the baby monitor and sound machine all on top of the carseat and zipped the bag shut. It was pretty maxed out, but it saved me so much by not having to pay for or carry another bag and I was able to gatecheck the whole bundle. I did choose to take the large vinyl bag full of stuff out at airport security to got through the x-ray (and the carseat was too big to fit in the machine so it got hand wanded) but just sent the rest of the stuff through x-ray inside the bag.

My comments (rather than complaints):

1) I gate-checked the bag including the carseat and everything listed above both ways on a trip with one connection each way. Because the bag is black (vs. see-through or bright orange) the baggage handlers didn't always realize it was a carseat and needed to go back to the gate even with the neon gate-check tag. On one flight, a flight attendent went down and found it for me. On our last leg, it ended up getting sen with the checked luggage to baggage claim. This was fine for me but is something you'd want to be prepared for, especially if you were traveling alone or with more than one child and had to wait in the boarding area ebcause of the mistake.

2) I purchased my bag off eBay so I don't know if a new, direct-from-manufacturer bag comes with instructions or not. Mine arrived in its zippered vinyl packaging but had no directions at all so it was by trial and error that I figured out how to get my seat in and what all the zippers were for. It has two zippers around the seat area--one to open the bag and one to expand/contract the storage area--similar to expandable upright suitcases, but it took me awhile to figure that out so i could get my large carseat inside.

3) There are zippers to open for the wheels and the pull handle of the Travelmate to be acessible for use while the carseat is inside the bag. I appreciated this feature but had to guess on where the flaps needed to go in order to not interfere with the rolling wheels. I ended up tucking the flaps between the wheels and the seat because they kept gumming up the wheels if I didn't. This allowed me to easily push and pull the whole assembly, but the fabric got chewed up by friction with the axle and a seam holding one of the zippers to the bag is now torn. I don't know if there is a better way to work this without damaging the bag. Also, I had to make sure I had tugged the slack up from the base of the bagg before I pushed/pulled the apparatus because the portion of bag near the base of the seat back sagged and would drag on the floor.

4) There are 4 different straps on the outside of the bag that I wasn't sure how to use and/or keep out of the way. One is a detachable, padded shoulder strap. (You probably want to remove this before checking the bag so it doesn't get lost.) I didn't find it very useful because my carseat (even without all the other stuff I crammed inside) is very big and very heavy so that when I used the single duffle-bag style strap, the strap cut into my shoulder and the bottom of the seat kept hitting me in the back of the legs. I would not want to walk across an airport carrying the bag this way but could see using the shoulder strap to move short distances like when you have already collapsed the wheels and handle waiting in-line to board and drop it off with gate check. Even carrying the bag minus carseat, it is pretty bulky for the single strap to control. Two straps I assumed were for the baggage handlers -- a handle at the top and a random adjustable strap behind the seat-base area. A third strap adjustable with a side-release buckle is attached to the upper back of bag as if maybe to strap on your large coat or attach a another small carry-on/diaper bag to the top while you wheel things around. The lower strap dragged on the ground so I ended up looping the buckled strap thorugh it and clipping it up out of the way but it was a pretty awkward arrangement.

5) Also, there are sturdy plastic feet on the front of the base so the bag doesn't tip over forwards so you can leave it standing next to you without holding on while you hand over tickets or take care of you toddler.

6) I do recommend making sure that you have taken it out of the package and practiced before the day of your trip so you know what you are doing and get the straps and zippers all figured out.



Overall though, I was very happy with this bag and would recommend it to a friend. I really liked that it was large enough to fit my Britax Marathon carseat and even better that I could add other stuff after the seat was inside. Except for the wear and tear from the wheels rubbing on the bag, I think it would hold up to several trips on trains or airplanes. It is heavy-duty with waterproof looking interior with sturdy zippers and well-attached straps. No drawstrings, no lightweight nylon. I also loved being able to use the wheels and handle of the GoGoBabyz Travelmate (instead of wearing it like a backpack) without taking the whole thing apart--the combination of the two products basically converted my carseat into another upright, rolling piece of luggage. (NOTE: You would not be able to use the Travelmate as a stroller with child seated in carseat WHILE the bag was still attached--but that was an over-ambitious dream of mine. I guess that's what the shoulder strap is important for.)

And I imagine most of my problems would have been eliminated by either written instructions or an on-line video tutorial (or a call to customer service, if I had ordered it more than a few days before my trip.)

Overall a good product. It has saved out seats from lots of juice spills and other not-so-pleasant substances. I like the non-slip grip on the bottom and our car seats worked well with them and we had no problem tightening them down. And I like the pockets in the front to store things.



My only complaint with ALL seat mats, THEY ARE NOT WIDE ENOUGH! Seriously is it that difficult to make they 2-3 inches wider?

I ordered this thinking it was the one I got for our other car which was from Sunshine Kids. The products look almost identical, but the sunshine kids is longer and covers more seat area for the big car seats. Also, the material is thicker and quality of protection is superior. Wish I hadn't tossed the box for this one or I would return it. The Kiddopotamus is OK, but in comparison it is just not as good.
