The baby doesn't like the feel of them, makes an awful face at first like she's chewing on something rotten. Once she gets enough milk coming out she will suck on it, but it slips out a lot if you don't watch it. I have an issue with them staying sealed, the edges like to flip up, but these at least have the squared design with cut outs. Much better than the rounder models which I had an issue with because they kept flipping up over her nose and suctioning on, interfering with her breathing. Still have to work to keep them sealed and in her mouth, making it a pain, cause I only have two hands to position her with. They also make an annoying sucking noise sometimes. Overall, they are a savior, because she goes through a growth spurt every few weeks and seems to forget how to feed. She gets franticly hungry and clamps down before I can completely shove it all in her mouth. Her bite pressure is horrible and she cracks the upper base of my nipples when I try to latch her on. These help maintain a barrier that relieves the pressure and friction so I can prevent or heal any wear.

This particular swaddler is made of a thinner sheet material. It is smaller than the fleece swaddlers even though they are both "smalls." It would be good if your Newborn is born in summer months when its warmer and you don't need fleece, but my daughter was born in the middle of a very cold winter and we didn't use this one hardly at all.

I have a few other kiddopotmus swaddle me's, but this material is exactly what I was looking for. I was given the microfleece one as a gift, and two of the cotton flannel ones. I live in Hawaii so the microfleece one makes the baby over heat unless we cranked up the ac all night, the cotton flannel ones are good too, but a little too stretchy.My baby is now 10 lbs and the small size is still big on her and she loosens the whole thing pretty quickly. The cotton knit material however is perfect. It is soft but not really stretchy so it keeps the baby snug all night without overheating her! Plus its a cute design.

It kept her wrapped all night and was much easier to use than receiving blankets at 3am! Kinda reminds me of a baby straight-jacket, but it worked. My baby has particularly strong legs and was able to kick her legs free and occaisionally get a hand out. But she was always secure when I went to check on her. The fabric is flannel and she got a little hot. But a few wardrobe adjustments took care of that.

We are new parents. People told us to swaddle our baby using a blanket. Maybe a 85 year old bubbie would know how to successfully swaddle a baby using only a blanket, but we sure as heck couldn't figure it out. Our baby is very active and would just work his arms out. Not so with the Swaddleme. We ordered this out of exasperation and a need to pin our son's arms down so he could sleep. It's not as bad as it sounds! If his arms aren't swaddled next to his body, he waves them around and wakes himself up--usually crying.



This product makes swaddling idiot proof, The velcro closures are very strong. The design is completely self explanatory. We use it every night at bedtime. He doesn't like the swaddling process, but quiets down immediately once he is secure.



Buy at least 3 of them so you can rotate out the dirty ones. Don't even hesitate!
