"wish i wouldve bought a long time ago" 2010-02-19
By A M O (Chicago)
i love this stroller and so does my 10 month old and my 2 year old which is kind of odd because my 2 year old hates strollers but right when i get this stroller out he wants to sit in it and then i end up carrying my 10 month old in my ergo carrier! i love how comfortable this stroller looks and its super super easy to push with one hand! the downfall is there is no parent tray but i did purchase a universal one that attaches to the handles perfectly! i love the colors as well the green and beige are just beautiful together! the little step on the back used for a older child to stand on i dont like all that well because they have to stand at like a back slant and my 2 years old must feel like hes going to fall so he refuses to stand on it! the storage basket is an awesome size and i love you can fold it up! i super love the canopy it goes all the way down so when the baby falls asleep and were out and about and i dont want the noise or lights to wake him i just pull it completely over and it works great! its not super compact when folded but def smaller then my jogging stroller! i also love that theres a carrying handle that helps out a bunch when folded! the handle adjusts to 2 different heights which arent all that big of a difference maybe like 3 inches or a little less! the foot muff that came with the stroller is great too, i always found it a problem to keep a blanket on my 10 month old and this is great even to hold the blanket on him i just stuff one in there! it also comes with a rain wind protecter which is also great for the city of chicago! it zippers on easily and seems to work great from the harsh wind! theres also diaper bag hooks to hook a diaper bag on the handle i have a skip hop so the buckles work great to hang from the little hooks or even like chain toys hooked from there as well! its just an awesome awesome stroller and i love it! A+++++++

 "love love love" 2010-01-30
By K. Goodwin
I was given this chair as a gift - I'd never actually heard about it before and its not listed in many review guides. But I can't live without it! I started using the recline feature when my daughter was only 8 weeks old. It's so great to have her nice and high up near me, instead of in a rocker or swing or bouncer thats way down near the ground. When I am making dinner, or getting ready in the morning, it's so easy to wheel her around in this - the wheels roll smoothly so even if she's fallen asleep it doesnt disturb her. Its very easy to clean since it's a soft "pleather" cover. It's very sturdy and folds fairly compactly. We haven't used the table yet - she's only 5 months old - so I can't speak to that, yet!

 "Great chair" 2009-12-11
By Margarita Ludlow
This is a great chair. My daughter seems very happy and comfortable on it. I just wish I'd had bought it before, because my baby was 7 months when we got it and she wasn't interested in the swing anymore.

It feels very sturdy even when my daughter moves a lot like if she were jumping.

The wheels are very soft on the floor and the material is extremely easy to clean, it really doesn't matter that is white!!! Some crumbs may get into the corners of the seat, but nothing that can't be cleaned in five seconds.

The tray is a little hard to get out, but I guess that's for security reasons and with a little practice it gets easier every day. On the other hand it doesn't get as close to the baby's body as in other chairs, so it leaves a couple inches where food can fall, but I've solved the issue using a bib with front pocket.

 "Collapsing is a pain" 2010-02-25
By Carla Williams
We bought this stroller after months of reviewing others. This stroller has some nice features; however, this is our first night with it and we can't fold it! Upon much googling I find folding to be a common problem. We also can not stand the instructions, which are pictures only and hard to tell in some of them what is going on. We feel for the money spent (we also bought the car seat to make a travel system) this stroller does not meet or exceed our expectations.

"I was expecting better quality." 2010-02-03
By M. Bridges
This stroller is for the most part plastic. I have had it for 2 months now, and no problems so far.... I don't think it will last until my son is out of strollers. I have a Maclaren Triumph, but wanted something that reclined fully. I went with this over a XLR, because I liked the tray, and the parent cup holder (worthless). I wish I would have went with the XLR. This stroller takes up a ton of trunk space, and dosen't push nearly as easy as my Maclaren. I unfortunately can't justify another stroller so soon after buying this one.

 "WASTE OF MONEY" 2009-10-11
By M. Craighead (Bay Area, CA)
We bought the Peg Perego without doing much research when we had our son. Big mistake. [...]. For whatever reason the stroller will not turn good. It takes all my power to get it to turn. We have the 2008 model so maybe they have fixed that problem, but for all the problems ours had I doubt they fixed everything. We also boutht the carseat to go with it. Very safe, good reviews but extremely heavy. I am 5'7" and it was a struggle for me to lift it in and out of the car.

But without getting off the topic of the stroller, I can't warn buyers enough out there at what a waste of money this stroller is.

"Great stroller, practical and not so heavy - folds perfectly." 2009-09-26
By Juliana De Carvalho (Italy)
Wow, I loved this stroller. I have searched and looked at every stroller possible. I went to shops to see them personally - Initially I wonted one of those with 3 wheels they are so cool and really delightful to push around, but they are huge - really HUGE! In my small apartment and not so big car, that thing wouldn't fit. So I found the Peg Perego under the advice of a friend who's just had her third baby and is still using the same Peg Perego stroller!!! My daughter now is almost 9 months and the stroller is great, I just had to put some oil in the wheels once, I probably should wash the lining, but I've been getting by with just cleaning it with a damp cloth. It's great, folds great, goes in the trunk easily, and is not so heavy as almost all the others I have seen. I have it in red but it's a different shade from this, it's beautiful!

"Very practical and stylish. Also get the matching parasol" 2009-06-07
By BlancheNiege (Skokie, IL)
This is my 3rd child after having a 9 and 7 year old. And even after all these years, I've come back to this stroller. I had a very similar stroller back then (Peg doesn't carry anymore since it's over 9 years ago) but has similar functionality. What I enjoy most is it's ease of use, portability and styling. Although this is slightly bulkier than my old Peg Perego it's light and small enough that I don't foresee buying even an umbrella stroller. I also purchased a matching parasol and it is such an adorable stroller that rivals the more pricier and impractically designed strollers out there.

Enjoy it!

"Wish I knew! Wish I could return!" 2010-04-08
By Roland Wooster (Folsom, CA)
I bought a Perego Si Stroller based on some of the rave reviews I had seen and the price. This is my 3rd child and 4th stroller so I had thought it would fit our needs, canopy, reclining features, folding, etc. but I wish I knew more and wish I could return it now! My main beef about the stroller is the basket and the shakiness/wonkiness of the wheels. I never used it with the infant carrier as I had planned to, it was a bit of a hassle and I had another stroller for that job so I can't really complain about it, but not being able to snap it in makes it not very user friendly.

When I try to put anything slightly heavy in the bottom of the stroller it drags the basket down such that I am worried it will drag on the floor. It has ample basket space, just can't use it except for the lightest weight items. We usually need a stroller to carry our "stuff" when we go to Disney, and this stroller will carry the clothes, diapers,, etc but I wouldn't dare put a water bottle, baby food or my purse since I am worried the basket will drag on the ground and be forever ruined. I've never had this problem with any other stroller so I was surprised.

I also have to walk at a very slow speed or else the front wheels shake horribly, makes it uncomfortable for me to push and for the baby to ride. I am not a jogger or talking about speed walking, I am talking about regular walking with my 7 year old to the park. I have to make effort to walk slow enough so it doesn't shake. I get very frustrated by this feature and it makes me want to return it. Even if it were free, I wouldn't want it! I had thought ours was defective, but it seems to be an issue I have now read about so it is an issue with the model.

I do like the canopy and how it folds up. It is much more than an umbrella stroller but I had hoped for something I can really use. I am now stuck trying to figure out what to do with it. I can take it to the local park (if I walk extra slow), but I can't use it at the airport, Disney, etc so it looks like I will be shopping for something else.

I had an Ingelsina Zippy with my daughter and it was awesome, it outshines the Si in everyway, but after 6 years of use and 2 kids it tuckered out and it was pricey. That was why I bought the Si. I will now have to consider the other options.

"I want to love it, BUT..." 2010-04-07
By J. Kim (Elk Grove, CA, US)
I want to love this stroller, but it seems that we may have to replace it within the next year. Attaching the car seat to the stroller is not easy. I wish it was like the other perego strollers where you can just "click" it in, this one has two traps that you have to tether and you have to make sure to slide it in just right to make it straight otherwise the car seat is not aligned with the stroller, after 7 months, it still takes us time to place the car seat it just right. If your baby is sleeping, poor baby is awoken from all the movement of trying to get the car seat strapped onto the stroller. Not a smart design by perego! It's easy to fold and light, which is what made me want this. I have used this for 7 months now and the wheels rattle and shake when I walk a little too fast. It feels like the wheels are about to pop off. I have to walk very leisurely. The whole stroller does not feel sturdy. The handles also feel loose. What I do love is how the seat can pretty much fully recline and the large hood. We initially wanted to get the Maclaran stroller but bought this instead because of the large hood and the price. I have a hand me down Graco stroller that feels much sturdier than this one and the Graco has already been through two other kids, my child being the third. Like I said, I really want to love this stroller because I like the color and it matches my car seat, but it's just too flimsy! I guess that's what I get for not checking out the stroller in the store before purchasing it!

"Great Stroller but could use minor improvements" 2010-03-29
By Getchen (California)
I purchased this stroller because my Maclaren Quest did not recline all the way. I needed a stroller with added comfort when taking my son on vacation or trips to theme parks where he would have to be in his stroller for prolonged periods of time. After much research, I decided upon the Si because it was lightweight with a big sun canopy and had an extended foot rest with a full reclining seat.

For the most part I like this stroller because my Son Is able to take long naps in it when we are sight seeing or at amusement parks. It is very easy to steer, fold and unfold. the harness secures my son really well and the canopy can pull forward pretty far, shielding him from the sun on hot days. I also like that there is a cup holder provided and that the handle height is adjustable.

The only things that I did not like are that the stroller when folded is not as compact as I thought, it is also a bit heavier that my Maclaren Quest. The cup holder could also use improvement as it cannot hold a four ounce baby bottle securely. It is perfect for adult beverages though. The under cargo basket could also use improvement because it sometimes drags on the ground if too many items are placed in the basket. Unlike that Maclaren basket which is very high off the ground and never has dragging issues.

Inspite of these minor flaws, its still a very good/sturdy stroller overall and does its main duty which is to give my son a safe and comfortable ride. It was a little on the pricier end though and very similar to the Chicco Light Way which is almost $100.00 cheaper. I also have the Chicco Light Way which I had won in a raffle after I had purchased the Si and had I known of the light way any sooner, I probably would have saved the $100 and stuck with the Light Way instead as it virtually has a lot of the same features, with a more secure cup holder and also reclines as far as the Si. The Light Way also folds more compactly than the Si.

"Don't think twice - just get it" 2010-03-07
By Super Mom (Flagstaff, AZ)
This review is for the 2010 model. Amazon has the 2009 and 2010 models mixed in the same purchase page. The 2010 is the one with the black bar in front of the seat.

You and your little one will fall in love with this stroller. It is so simplistic, yet it has everything you need. I didn't see one in person before purchasing, just went by reviews and specifications.

PROS:

-You can move it with 1 hand

-Best canopy shade in the market

-Folds down compact

-Large under-basket (note: 2010 model basket does not touch the ground with heavy/uneven objects in it)

-Has key/cell phone/mail/other pouch attached on canopy

-Easy on and off rear break (1 touch locks both wheels)

-Telescoping handles

-Handles have bag hooks!!! I really LOVE this feature!!

-Easy to put on/off baby harness

-Easy to collapse and open up

-Stands up when collapsed, which keeps it from getting dirty

-Front bar is great for kids to hold on to, hang toys, etc. It is also removable if your child doesn't like it

CONS:

-It's a great design and all, but I still think it's overpriced

-Carry handle is cheap and hurts your hand

Overall, this is an awesome stroller. I'm on my 4th and this is it. My daughter loves being in it. It is so easy to maneuver that I can do the crazy stuff she loves (going fast, cutting tight corners, going in circles, etc) and she holds on to the front bar while she laughs and gleefully squeaks. I was using it the other day during a hail storm and the canopy protected my daughter 100%.

Don't hesitate. Get this stroller. You will love it.

I got this cover to guard our baby against the cold wind. We live near a mountain corridor and there is lots of gusts during the day. I ended up loving the cover for another unexpected benefits. I can use the cover to place a cover to protect our baby from the sun. Also, when I take her to the mall, I can keep the cover, one to keep the noise out and second it gives me some level of comfort from sick people breathing on her. Ever since I got the cover, I never took it off and use it rain or shine.

"made in italy - NOT CHINA" 2010-01-11
By Jaime C. Facchino (charlotte nc)
i bought the preg perego for the only reason it was made in italy and not china. as an italian, i felt like i was helping 'mi familia' - prego!! ok, i am only 1/2 italian and can only do mob accents, but i have to say i absolutely love this car seat and the stroller that we bought w/it. i am on my second son, and over the last 3.5 years, both the car seat and the stroller are a beast. i think the wife and i will try for 3 next year (but since i am 1 yr from 40, idk!!) and if we do, i know it will easily last for #3. we spent a lot of money on the prego's, but our goal was to give it to a young couple when we were done. a way to pay it forward and i can rest easily knowing it kept my kids safe and now someone elses.. God bless america and those hard working italians back in italy making my family safe.

 "Works fine." 2009-10-30
By TP (Chicago)
For any multi-car family, it's great to have a spare car seat base for the convenience. There's not much to say about features, except that it does the job, `nuff said!

The seat is a little pricey, but if you shelled out for the Peg Perego infant seat, you probably knew what you were getting into. Despite the price, I'd definitely buy it again.

Made in Italy, good craftsmanship.

Over 80% of infant car seats are installed incorrectly. Do your baby and yourself a favor and have your car seat installation inspected by an NHTSA-certified inspector. Find a free inspection location at [...] I used the site to find a local police station with an NHTSA-certified officer that verified the installation for both my family cars.
