I bought this a few years ago for my daughter when we were about to take a plane trip. She was less than 2yrs old at the time. The one I have is slightly different, in that instead of the picture, it has a "puzzle" where the puzzle pieces are simply soft pieces that come out (think of a puzzle for a 1 to 2 yr old). The puzzle portion does come out to a plain tray as well. We used it on the plane & it was a pretty good alternative to using the airplane tray table, as we attached it to her car seat and she now had a tray. (The airplane tray is of no use when you have a bulky car seat for a toddler.) However, we have tried it in the car and have had little success. It was not out of the question, just pretty clumbsy. In the plane, I sat next to my daughter, so when the tray needed to be adjusted, it was easy to do so. However, in the car that is not the case. Plus, it didn't hold her attention so much in the car, so we just ditched it. We've recently found a far better solution for both my girls for the car, now 5 1/2 yrs and almost 3 yrs... the "Star Kids Snack & Play Travel Tray".

I just bought this for my daughter today and she loved it (we got the Rain-forest Design) We have an Eddie Bauer car seat/booster seat with a 5pt harness and it worked perfectly with it. Other posters have mentioned they couldn't figure out how to attach it and it is quite simple, the little alligator clips hook to the side of the car seat cover (or the car seat itself) you just turn them upside down as you clip them. To prevent the downward slope other posters mentioned make sure that the straps are good and tightened and when you put the desk on the kids lap angle the straps toward the rear of the car seat before you clip them, this makes a HUGE difference, my first try I had the straps angled straight down and it sloped so I angled it toward the back and re-clipped them and problem solved!

The thing with this tray is you have to attach garter clips to some fabric of the carseat. It takes awhile to get it in place. Then the sides aren't very high so it doesn't keep things in the space- they easily roll off. the insert is like a heavy paper, so only so-so if your kids are car eaters.

My daughter likes this car seat tray quite a bit and wants to bring it everywhere with her. It's pretty easy to clip onto the car seat, though it takes some work to get it precisely in a position where it's tight enough to stay on her lap. The Precious Planet picture also mostly ends up on the floor (it's pretty flimsy). But, for what we bought it for, it's A+. I think the issues I've encountered are mostly because my daughter is quite squirmy.

My son (3 months) just recently started getting into toys. He loves looking at himself in the mirror. We use it for encourage tummy time so he can stare at himself on his tummy, or for back time we tie it up to his play gym so he can stare at himself. If he kicks at the toys the fish will alternate playing a short little tune or making a water splash noise. He also just now started grabbing at his toys and loves the crabby teether. My one wish is that it would play the music longer than 5 seconds, or have some way to attach it to my car headrest so he can look and play at it in the car.

My son is 5 months old and is beginning to roll over. The lights and music are motion sensitive, so when the music starts to play, he begins to roll over towards it. I like attaching it to his crib. He seems to be able to entertain himself in the mornings while I get ready. I wish the toy had velcro latches instead of just ties. I don't feel like the toy is very secure above him in his crib by just tying the ties. I will probably go ahead and add velcro myself. Very cute toy and is entertaining.

It's not a bad product, it does its thing, meaning I can see my baby in it, the only draw back from my point of view is that the mirror is too tiny and when you're driving in the dark you don't see anything in it anymore. So, may be a little light or something else will help.

Purchased this for car trips that last 4+ hours. This was the only tray I could find at the store. It isn't nearly big enough to hold a coloring book. It is supposed to clip onto something but there are no directions to tell you what to clip it to. Clipping it to the car seat cover didn't provide enough support and the tray slipped. My daughter had to balance it on her thighs.

It was basically unusable becaue there was no way to fasten it to the car seat. Do not recommend this product unless you have a car seat with definite straight arms on which it can rest and an older child is involved than my 18 month old grand daughter. Also, the information provided did not adequately describe how it fastens and I did not know until I ordered it that I would need to be in the back seat with my grand daughter and hold it in place for her to use it. It is a great idea but poorly executed. The mfgr needs to rethink this product.

This was a pretty good purchase. My 2-year-old used it on a 20-hour road trip and did okay. The only thing is that you have to use a blankie or something to prop up the front end of the desk, or it slants forward. It attached to our Britax carseat just fine though. And my child enjoyed playing on it.

This pillow may work well for some people - I think it all depends on the type/style of car seat you are trying to use it in. My daughter (18 months) has a Britax Diplomat car seat, and there was absolutely no way this little neck pillow was going to fit between her neck and the back of the car seat without pushing her head way forward. The pillow was just too thick around the back of the neck.
