This is a fantastic seat, we have the Decathalon in my husband's car and bought this for our second car. It is everything you would expect from Britax- quality, function and form and since our daughter can be in this seat up to 80 pounds, it is the last seat we will need.
Excellent buy!

When my son outgrew his Safety First Uptown I searched and searched for a seat that would harness him for the longest. He is very tall (42 in at 3yrs old, with a 16in torso) so it was very important that the seat be big enough he wouldn't outgrow it within a year or so. All seats but this one just wasn't a good fit. My mom got the Nautilus for her car, since at the time it was cheaper than the Regent (I got mine when they were still $199...)and it is ok for a quick trip around town. For a long trip I certainly prefer the Britax. My boy is so very comfortable and will have lots of room for a long time. I love how the straps almost never twist. We found it easy to install and easy to use. When we had to get a new seat for my husband's truck he said he wanted a Regent and nothing else! So we have two of them. For a tall child it really is the best seat for extended harnessing.

Our 3 year old (34 lbs, 39" tall) has grown out of his Britax Roundabout at the same time as our 8 month old (22 lbs 29" long) has grown out of his Graco Snugride, so I did a lot of research on what's next. We've had our Regent for a week and have just ordered a second one for our other car. This seat will give my child 5-point harness protection longer than (I think) any other seat on the market, which is a big deal to me. Specific issues: It is huge, but that's fine for us since we'll have one in each car and only rarely move them (I'm 5"4" 125lbs and can sit in it comfortably!) Installation (using latch) was not hard (I'll echo other reviewers - read the manual! That's a no-brainer). I drive a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan and got a good tight fit, no problem. I miss the velcro strap retainers (that let you hold the straps off to the side when your kid gets out of the seat) from the Roundabout, the strap retainers on the Regent are a useless joke. My three year old can't reach toys in the deep side pockets, which frustrates him. There's no cup holder but I don't care, kid just puts his cup next to him on the seat. The straps don't twist, adjustment isn't hard. The strap pads and positioner are kind of annoying but not unliveable. Overall, if you like the solid feel and simple design of other Britax seats, this one won't disappoint.
I was thisclose to buying a Graco Nautilus online but when I went to touch/feel it at our local BabiesRUs it just felt kind of cheap compared to the solid Britax construction I love, and when my (big sturdy future football player) boy sat in it it seemed clear he was going to outgrow it long before the specs indicated. When I discovered I could get a Regent for $[...], the Nautilus was off my list. I'm confident my son will be in a solid seat with 5-point harness protection for years longer than he would have been in a nautilus.

I bought this car seat after lots of research on what front facing car seats fit in Honda Civics. This one does, however it would be nearly impossible to put another car seat next to it as it is VERY wide. The strap to tighten is much harder than it was on our Chicco Infant seat, which we LOVED!
I gave it 4 stars because it is easy to get my very wigggly 14 month old in and out. And she seems to be very comfortable in it. Overall I am very statisfied, although I have only had it for 1 month.

Again, given the opportunity, we wouldn't buy anything but Britax. Great product. Although this seat is pretty big, it isn't mammoth. It is more of a pain to move than our smaller model, so we won't be trading between the two cars. I agree with other reviewers - the restraints are a little flimsy and twist a lot more than other models we have purchased. That is annoying, but I'd still purchase this seat again. I wish we could've purchased this seat when darker models were available. I'm hoping the tan doesn't end up looking grey. :)
I would definitely recommend this product. (4-stars due to the flimsier restraints.)
