My son needs some white noise to sleep. We went out of town and my friend didn't have fan to put in the room while he napped. She brought out the star projector and I used the nature sounds. My son went right to sleep! I love the 15 min setting. No other toy I've found has music that plays that long.



When I came home I looked all over for this item. Babies R Us and Toys R Us didn't have it anymore. Glad I found it on here.



I agree the projector is best in a dark room. The images weren't blurry. I like that it only takes batteries, because this is going over to Nana's when my son visits.



Its all in your preference, but I suggest buying this item!

I was nervous about ordering this product because of some of these reviews, but it met every expectation. I had no trouble seeing the lights on the ceiling, even in the living room where we have vaulted ceilings. I like the versatility of all the settings (volume, length of playing time, type of music played and objects that are projected onto the ceiling). I would recommend this product to anyone :)

I love this projector. I bought this for my new born who is now 1 1/2 years old. She still loves it and falls asleep with it every night. She even enjoys using it during the day to walk around with it and hum the tunes. After I first purchased it my three year old (at that time) kept trying to steal it from her sister's room to play with it and repeatedly asked to have it in her room at night. My now four year old still likes to change the light selections and pick a song of her choice for her sister before going to bed.



The toy is extremely durable and I don't even remember changing the batteries but maybe once so far.



I love how the pictures move from one to the next. It comes with three slide shows; my favorite being the first stage slide show. It projects a large smile face, heart, checkered pattern...I can't remember if that is it or if there is one more, but it is great.



The music is very soothing. At night I usually turn on the nature sounds, but the music is nice as well. I like the time selection, music volume control, and the ability to sit this toy on a book shelf or table, and angle the projector toward the ceiling over the crib... all which makes this toy excellent.



I typically don't write these reviews as I am always on the go; however, this is a great toy and is really deserving of a great review. I have decided to purchase this as a gift for my new little nephew since my kids have enjoyed it so well.

Love this soother- I usually have movement, lights and music on and I actually think the timer is OK on this setting. Rarely she will get upset when it shuts off, but she's learned to self soothe so most often will just fall asleep after it shuts off, which is great. The music isn't annoying to hear over and over again, either, which is a big bonus for moms and dads.

We were given this as a shower gift. I immediately attached it to my son's crib, but didn't start using it right away. Now, expecting our second child, I think I will try it sooner. Around 4 or 5 months of age, I started turning this on, and my son really enjoyed it. As he grew, he eventually became able to turn it off and on by himself. Now, if he wakes up in the middle of the night and I have to go in, I can gently remind him to turn on his music if he needs to. Very often, after I put him back down and leave the room, he ends up turning it on and falling back to sleep. We recently transitioned him to a twin bed and have a headboard with rails, so I was able to attach the soother to his new bed....he loves it! Definitely want to get one for his sibling. Only downfall is that it is rather difficult to attach. I also agree that it might be nice if there was a dimmer switch to adjust the level of light. However, the light doesn't seem to keep my son awake at all.

I bought it for my nephew when he was 8 moths. It wasnt as productive I really wished I hadnt bought it. He only justed it once...The song is too short and it just wasnt useful for babies...

This is a fantastic little crib distraction, I can leave my son in his crib now for almost 10 minutes! He loves to be held and be around me so yes that is the longest he will stay busy without someone in the room. I just wish it lasted longer, I think it is a great device, however if it could last about 15-20 minutes, that would be amazing! Definitely catches my 5 month old son's attention and keeps him enthralled for several minutes, though he looses interest, he will look around then come back to it, but generally it just doesn't last as long, which is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise its a great buy for your baby. fun bubbles, and moving objects inside, with fun up beat music, not for sleeping! definitely for an awake babay as the light inside is pretty bright too.

We recieved this as a gift for our son when he was born. He is still absolutely enthralled with it! Not many toys have held his attention. In fact, he often prefers "real world" items to toys. This one continues to be a favorite, though. Now he can turn it on and off himself. We hear hom use it every night. Couldn't be happier.
