I was really excited to get this booster after reading the reviews and seeing that the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety gave it a Best Bet rating. I also liked that it is manufactured by a company that makes seats for racecars. Unfortunately, this booster did not work with the seatbelt in my husband's truck, a 2005 Dodge Ram 4 door. When my son would lean forward and then lean back, the shoulder strap of the seatbelt would not retract. I read that a few other people had this problem too. I did not feel safe asking my son to simply retract the seatbelt manually everytime he leanded forward. Even though we will not be keeping this booster, it seems safe and like it works well for most. Just be sure to check that your seatbelts retract. I'm not sure how long it would have taken me to figure out that my son's seatbelt was not retracting unless he told me. He sits behind the driver. I believe that mine was ordered directly from amazon and the return was easy. They paid for the return shipping and arranged for UPS to pick it up. Fortunately, I had kept the boxes. I am now going to try the Monterey Booster. One advantage to the Monterery is that it does have LATCH. This is something that I thought about after ordering the Recaro Vivo. I like the idea of the booster being secured in the car. Hopefully, the seatbelt will retract and it will provide a good fit for my son overall!

I love this seat! It is so sturdy. The britax booster I have from my older niece has fallen apart, exposing only broken styrofoam and thin plastic. I love that this booster comes from a company that understands surviving a car accident, and not so focused on pretty fabric and cupholders (although I do love the washable fabric on this seat) I wish all parents would shop with this idea in mind. It doesn't recline, but I feel the head support makes up for this, as it gives support if they fall asleep.

I purchased this booster seat for my almost 5 year old son who is 40 lbs and just under 4 ft tall. I hated to part with my 5 point car seat but it was time. I researched many booster seats. We have a Sunshine Monterey in our other car. There were things I didn't like about it and didn't want for my son's primary booster seat. This seat reclines (slightly) and my son said it's very comfortable. It was rated highly by the NHI for safety. I like the attachment along the side where you hook the strap so it's very secure. My son's head doesn't fall forward if he falls asleep in this seat. Portability is a plus too. You can't go wrong with this booster seat.

This seat is supposed to go up to 100 lbs, but it is SO narrow that my daughter could barely sit comfortably in it. She would have outgrown it w/i a year. Returned it and purchased a Britax. When I had my second child, I splurged and bought the newest Phil & Teds Sport V2 double Tandem Stroller....even though I knew it lacked in accessories. Once it became warmer and I wanted to walk to burn off baby fat- I realized that the lack of sun protection for the littlest ones in the doubles seat was a problem. I came across this a while back and hemmed and hawed about spending the money, and then just sucked it up and bought it.

And let me just say, that it is worth EVERY PENNY. It is very well made, and completely flexible, so it works when the back seat is reclined or not. My little one was completely covered, cool, and the elastic top part made checking on him so easy. A cinch to take on and off too...no more of process than adding/removing the doubles seat on the stroller.

At 3- my kid in front wouldn't have wanted a full mesh screen, so for the baby this is perfect. Awesome prduct. And now that I see how its made, I think its a bargain!

I bought the Cosco High Back Booster for our 3 year old son who is 36" and 35lbs. We wanted a booster that still had a 5 point harness for our second car. I purchased the seat because of the Saftey Reviews it recieved and the price was "right" too. I love it. I was concerned when I purchased it since it was a "booster", thought maybe it wouldn't be as safe as my Britax Car Seat but once it's in and he is strapped in with the 5 point harness I have peace of mind. It does have the LATCH system but doesn't have a nice botton release that my Britax Boulevard has. Its fine because I don't think I will be taking it in and out of the car like I used to with his other one. I love this seat so much a week after I had it I bought one for my Mother-in-Laws car!

Overall, this seat has done the job for us. My daughter was still in her infant seat, but completely miserable because she couldn't see anything and made she we were aware of her discomfort.



We picked up this car seat for several reasons.

1. My daughter was only 11 months old (tall for her age and very strong) so we were looking for a car seat that would fit her age and weight. She was borderline weight-wise, but she hasn't had any problems for the two-three months she has now been in the seat and much, much happier. We have a booster seat, so we only need something to get her from her infant seat to about 50 lbs when she can use the booster seat. This one seems to be working great so far.

2. The other aspect we were taking in to consideration is the price. Compared to others that seemed comparable in quality and features, this one was by far much better price-wise.



Installation was pretty simple--I think most car seats these days have been designed to install and this was fits the mold. Once home, I had it installed within minutes.



There are only a couple knocks on this that I think would have made this a little nicer (which is why I gave four-stars instead of five.

1. No arms on this--would have been a little nicer to had, but wasn't a deal killer for us.

2. The side cup that installs on the side gets knocked off very easily which almost makes it worthless to have. Next models should look at making this stay in a little better. It is nice to be able to move, but it just comes off a little too easy. My daughter likes her bottle, so this is kind of important to us.



Overall--I would recommend this product if your looking for something in what you get for the cost--a great deal.

I purchased this for my recent trip to the UK. We took 2 car seats, one in a JL Childress bag to check (fantastic bag), and the other with this Pac Back to use on the plane. This actually worked really well. We ended up weaving blankets and a stuffed toy through the straps - and I closed the 5 point harness around the straps to help steady the seat. After reading all the reviews I was concerned. We have a Graco Nautilus seat, which is heavy, and I worried about the Pac Back holding up. I was a little ginger with it, not swinging it about or banging it too much, and it worked great. None of the stitching has come undone and the clips held the seat fine. You do have to unstrap the seat to use it on the plane as the straps are in the way of the child, but its easy to do and takes up very little room in the stow away. The only problem I had was how big the seat was on the plane, banging people on the way down the aisle and my 2 year old's feet touching the seat in front just sitting normally in the seat, but the Pac Back worked great!

I bought the safety 1st vantage seat and quickly realized that my son couldn't sleep very well in it so I traded it for this one. This one is MUCH nicer, the cup holder pulls out far enough that my son can grab it, other than that the compartments to put toys and such are under his seat, I guess you store stuff there that you don't want the kid to have. Not quite a deciding factor in buying the seat, just something they didn't think out.

It reclines like a dream. Also the strap adjuster for the harness is amazing. You don't have to thread the straps through anything, just pull a bar and the whole head pillow slides up and down easily. Even my son thought that was cool when he saw it!

The arm rest are a rubbery sort that the kids can move up or down. That is entertainment in itself for them!

Oh, and the seat if fully removable, I don't know why someone said it couldn't be removed, maybe an older version or something.

well, I almost didnt buy this car seat because of all the bad reviews everyone left. but I went to [...] and they had the same product (for $[...] more) on display, so I buckled my baby in there. And I thought it was great. SO I ordered it. the day it arrived my husband and I installed it and went for a drive.

So far....



1. we havent had any problem with the straps twisting

2. Our baby looks very comfortable, her head isnt pushed forward or flopping around.

3. the car seat cover IS removable



It is kinda big...for those of you with 3 in car seats it would be hard to fit them all in one car



We are very pleased with this car seat, and so is our little girl she looks so happy in it (before we got this car seat she would scream and cry the whole way!)

I needed to buy my older son a new car seat because his little brother was going to inherit his old one. He is still small enough to require the 5 point harness, but soon will not need it so wanted one that would become a booster. I did a lot of looking and research, and this seat is just what I expected. I love it, and most importantly my son loves it! It is really easy to set up and install. My only complaint is the weight. With the base that doesn't detach (has a cup holder if you are into that), it is a lot of weight. We don't move car seats around at all so this should be no big deal for me. If you are someone always moving seats around it installs easily and quickly, but just be warned it's a bit heavy. Once I installed this seat I realized how unsafe the old seat was. I didn't realize how tight the seat could fit into the car, and I even had the old seat safety inspected! So I bought a second one for my younger son, and I feel confident that the two boys are safe and secure! By the way, my other weight concern is that we are going to have to lug two of these with us when we travel by plane. Even with that being said, I would definitely recommend purchasing this seat!

Once I installed this and put my 1 yr old in it, I could tell it wasn't a great seat. I tried it for a couple of months because I really wanted to like it. I'm really sorry I went for the cheaper seat.



*The straps twist easily.

*The padding in the middle pushes my son's head forward. No big deal, I'll just recline it all the way.

*The recline actually pushes the bottom of the seat up so my kid is sitting in a 'V' position with his head forward and his feet up.

*In the recline position the base comes way out over the edge of the car's bottom seat.

*Still not a huge deal until we took a longer drive and he couldn't sleep comfortably. His head was flopping around with no support.



I finally just bought a new one and I'll use this in our second car but not for more than short trips around town.

Pros:

This car seat was easy to install. The connectors are easy to find and once the straps are straight easy to connect.



Cons:

The strap you pull to tighten the harness looks like it is already having a lot of wear and its only been a month. Although the connectors for the harness have enough room to work out twists in the harness they are also large enough to easily allow the straps to twist making it so you have to fix them almost every time you strap in your child which is annoying.

This is a great seat. The ability to quickly change the configuration including straps and recline and make it work with any car/van you have really rocks. I have 3 different seats and this one is the easiest and best by far.

The seat does what it needs to and for the price is appropriate. I don't switch cars with it, and installing it once was a little more cumbersome than the twice as expensive Recaro back-to-front seat we have in the other car. The belts are thinner than the Recaro's, which actually makes it easier to twist any wrongly aligned latches. The tightening strap is difficult to pull snugly, but not frustratingly so.



As others have mentioned, there isn't much head support for naps while driving, so for longer trips where your child may be napping, have something to use for head support so the nap lasts longer than til the first major turn.



The low seat height and fold-able armrests are great for ingress/egress, but for whatever reason, when the seat is empty, they jiggle annoyingly when driving unless you wrap a harness strap around them.



So overall, its a decent seat that my son likes to ride in, but has some little quirks that have easy work-arounds that would probably cost way extra for an enhanced feature on another model booster seat.

This fit in my Honda Accord perfectly on the right back seat headrest. No problems installing it and I can see my 3 week old son while driving. So far I'm very happy with this product. The adjustable angle is the key aspect of this mirror. I am thinking about buying a second mirror for my husbands truck. I was surprised to see that the mirror was a dark gray instead of tan but that was a good thing since my car interior is black.

I got this mirror about 3 months ago and love it! I have gotten a 2nd one for my husband's car. It was easy to install and hasn't needed to be adjusted from bumps. When you are selling safety products for kids, at least use a real picture of the product being used properly. Look at the image provided. Does it look realistic? No. I dont think so. And if it is, is that carseat even remotely installed properly? It looks like the carseat was pasted into the photo. I mean come on, leave the photoshop for britney spears, people.



how am i to trust that the product will even look like that when installed??
