 "stroller" 2010-04-19
By M.F. (germany)
i have a 2 year old and 2 month old and needed a stroller for both. this stroller was easy to assemble by myself (hubby was deployed) and overall i think it's great! I haven't used it outside yet though because of the weather, and i am sure it is goign to be great! Kind of wishing that i bought the other one where you can convert the back platform to a seat, but thinking with a 2 year old.....who doesn't nap much this one will work out great for us anyway. great price. not as bulky as a double stroller and not that heavy either.

UPDATE: my mom used this stroller for the first time yesterday and she said it was awesome! My 2 yr old sits on it so nicely and it's not confining to him. With the 3 month old we had to put a blanket in to support her head a bit more as the seat isn't made for a newborn.

 "I love this stroller" 2010-03-15
By J. Stewart (Bloomington, IL)
I originally received a double sit n stand for my baby shower. The stroller didn't fit in the back of my Jeep Compass so I purchased this version on amazon. I was pleased with the colors/price/free shipping. The instructions were a little tricky. When I first put it together, I couldn't get it to steer! It was very frustrating. When I looked at the front wheels, I undid the latch that I thought was supposed to be done and now the stroller glides perfectly! My Graco infant seat locks into place and easily straps in for security. It's much easier to maneuver than my single Graco stroller I used with my first child. The only downside is the difficulty of accessing the storage when both kids are strapped in.

We love this stroller. It is perfect for me and my 2 1/2 yr old and my 7 month old. My 2 1/2 year old loves that she has the choice to sit on the seat or stand up. The only con to this product is that the buckles for the seat in the back are attached to the cover so it slide all over the place when a child is sitting on it.

 "AWESOME!!!!!!!" 2010-03-03
By Rachel Gunnell
We bought this stroller for Disneyland specifically. WONDERFUL! We had a 6 year old and a 2 year old. I do wish the basket underneath was a bit bigger but otherwise it was fabulous. Other reviews wish the front seat reclined further...HELLO! People! If it reclined further then it would bump the kid in the back right off the chair. I can understand why it doesn't. It did make stroller napping a bit difficult but I understand why it is so. LOOOOOOOOVE the console up top with the drink holders and storage box. GREAT stroller and relatively easy to push.

"Superior to the Joovy Caboose Ultralight at a smaller pricetag!" 2010-04-29
By Dani
I spent a few weeks researching tandem strollers and finally settled on the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. I was very disappointed when it arrived. I used it for a couple of weeks before finally selling it on craigslist, taking a loss, because there are a couple of huge design flaws that I couldn't live with. I then bought the Baby Trend Sit n Stand LX and love it. First of all, it is about $100 cheaper than the Joovy, and, in this case at least, more expensive certainly does not mean better.

I have a 4-year-old and a 2-month-old. I knew that my 4-year-old would want to walk on outings but hop on a stroller when she got tired. I also knew that I'd be using the infant carseat with the stroller for at least four more months with my infant son.

There are three things about the Joovy that I preferred to the Sit n Stand (minor things that are not deal breakers by any means):

1. The Joovy Caboose Ultralight is lighter (by about four pounds), so it is slightly easier to turn and maneuver than the Sit n Stand; its wheels also seem to roll a little more smoothly. However, the maneuverability comes at the sacrifice of function (more about this later).

2. The Joovy neoprene parent organized has a ton of space for keys, wallet, and phone and is very functional. The Sit n Stand parent organizer is a hard shell; it has room for two smaller water bottles, which is great, but neither my keys nor my BlackBerry will fit in the middle closed compartment, thus rendering it nearly useless - it's just too small to be functional.

3. The oversized canopy on the Joovy covers both kids, which is nice on a very hot and sunny day or in case you get caught in a rainstorm. However, the canopy is also bulky and a little cumbersome; when you don't need it fully open, it gets in the way.

That being said, there are many things I prefer about the Sit n Stand:

1. The Sit n Stand is a little lower to the ground and thus feels more stable when moving.

2. The Sit n Stand has a carseat attachment that you can snap the infant carrier into. The Joovy Caboose attachment is really a tray that the infant carrier sits ON TOP OF; it does NOT snap in, something Joovy obviously does not advertise because it's very cumbersome and annoying. To secure the infant carrier on the Joovy, you have to strap it in with an ugly red strap; even with the strap, the infant carrier sits awkwardly on top of the tray and doesn't feel like it's secure. In the instruction booklet, Joovy actually advises that parents check the carrier every few minutes to make sure the strap that holds it attached to the stroller isn't loose. The Sit n Stand attachment is awesome - the carrier snaps right in and is tight and secure in the front seat of the stroller.

3. The Joovy basket is very small and hard to get into. I could barely get my purse in there, much less a diaper bag. The Sit n Stand basket is larger and has snaps on the side that you can open, thus making the basket easily accessible and usable.

4. The Sit n Stand can be folded with one hand; the Joovy cannot.

5. The Sit n Stand actually folds smaller than the Joovy. It's a bit thicker when folded but significantly shorter, so it will fit in all trunks. The Joovy is VERY tall when folded and wouldn't fit in the trunk of my friend's Honda.

6. The front seat on the Joovy is very shallow, only 8 inches. The depth of the Sit n Stand front seat is about 10 ½ inches, making it much more functional for older kids. I could see my son, who's average size, outgrowing the Joovy seat by the time he's 18-months-old. He'll be able to use the Sit n Stand much longer.

7. The Sit n Stand has a removable kid tray that easily snaps off with one hand. Once the younger child is older and bigger, it's easy to remove him/her from the stroller without lifting him/her over the top of the tray. The Joovy tray is very difficult to remove (I actually couldn't do it; my husband had to do it for me).

8. However, the most obnoxious thing about the Joovy, and the main reason I traded it for the Sit n Stand, is that the back toddler bench seat is very small and moves/slides all the time, which is annoying and distracting for the kid AND the parent. Also, when the front seat is reclined (necessary to hold the infant carrier and for a younger child or a child who still naps during the day), it reclines halfway INTO the back bench seat, taking up about half the room of an already small seat. The older child then either has to stand (not great on long trips) or sit hunched forward with his/her feet awkwardly curled behind. This is a pretty big design flaw that I could not overlook. It makes the back seat essentially useless unless the front seat is not reclined. The Sit n Stand back bench seat is slightly larger, and the front seat, even when reclined, does not get in the way of the bench seat. The older child can thus sit comfortably upright even with the front seat inclined. The standing platform on the Sit n Stand is also larger and has a strap that you can buckle behind the child that the child can use for back support; the Joovy doesn't have this.

Considering the above, the Sit n Stand LX is the hands-down winner. For nearly half the price, you get a much better, more functional stroller. Had I "test driven" both, I never would have bought the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. I think the Joovy looks kind of funky and trendy, so people fall for it, but it's a poorly thought-out stroller that is terribly overhyped. If you can, try both at a store before buying.

"I can fit more than 2 kids on this!" 2010-02-24
By A Back (Indianapolis IN)
I love this stroller - only thing is you can't really steer with one hand but that's probably to be expected with a double stroller. I love that it folds down as much as it does (almost as small as my single stroll) there are times I have extra kids at my house and we all want to go for a walk and I've fit 4 kids on this thing!!(one in the front -- two on the seat facing opposite ways -- and one standing) they get a little crowded but we were able to get out of the house! three kids would still be comfortable though! I also love that you can hook the baby carseat carrier on the front - makes an easy transition from car to stroller!!!

 "had high hopes..." 2009-06-08
By Mindy L. Haynes (Chicago Il)
I loved the idea that my new baby and my 2 1/2 year old would both be happy in this. My 2 1/2 yr old loves standing/sitting in the back and will not get in a regular stroller seat so I thought this would be great. Unfortunately its been terrible. Its too long and this causes it to be really hard to turn. And the frame is a little delicate. With ours the right side got pushed forward a little and the whole thing pulled to the right so hard that it was a HUGE chore to push it. We called them and they told us to switch the front wheels which did not work. I finally laid it on its side and pushed the right side forward while bracing the other front wheel and that helped a little but its still really hard to push. The wheels are also small and make it difficult to get over cracks etc. in the sidewalk. And since we bought it while I was pregnant and its past 6 months the company was no help at all and suggested I just buy a new one! Riiiiight!

 "Wow!" 2009-02-11
By RC (az)
I initally bought this stroller about 2 weeks ago for an upcomming trip to the zoo with my son and a 4 month old I babysit. I couldn't wait so I took it out for a trial run a few days ago and was really impressed with this stroller. My daughter and son and both love it. My son is 3 and my daughter is 7 ...I know what you're thinking-- A 7 year old? But she wanted to try out the bench and standing area since the baby was gone for the day. And she LOVED it, and my son really liked it too. I have to tell you this stroller works wonderfully! I'm truly surprised. Even with my 50 pound 7 year old sitting/standing in the rear and my 3 year old up in the front, I still found the stoller easy to manuver. My husband who's 6 ft likes that the handles are high enough where he's not hunched over - but it's a perfect height for me too and I'm a whole lot shorter. This stroller is great for going to the zoo, or to festivals and stuff (which we do a lot). The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of its size and weight... even when folded, this stroller is a monster! ...It's HUGE and heavy. Make no mistake about it ----this is A-lotta stroller! I read a couple of reviews that said this stroller might be as heavy as a double stroller --and they might be right. In all honesty, I won't be using this stroller everyday. But that doesn't mean you can't (especially if you have the trunk space). It's easy to put up and down, so no worries there. This stroller also can adapt to any carrier you own already so that was a huge relief because the little girl I sit for owns an Evenflo and I had no problems( but if you do there is a number in the book you can call.) One thing I read in another review online; a lady said you can fit an infant carrier, snuggly, in the space behind the front seat and on the bench.... this is VERY TRUE. I tried placing the baby carrier in this area and it fit like a charm.... it doesnt wiggle or anything, just like she says. It almost feels as if the carrier was "snapped" into place. With this being said, I would use the bench straps as extra security, though. I also read on another site that someone uses this stroller with her 3 kids: one sitting in the front, one toddler sitting on the bench, and one older one standing. I've never tried it but the back platform is really wide. Wide enough to hold two kids in the back (facing each other) just like she said. All in all, this stroller is money well spent. My only wish is that I knew about it a lot sooner. Good Luck! :)))

This product is very dangerous. If you do not have a child sitting or standing on the back of the stroller and have an infant in a car seat on the front the stroller the whole thing tips forward!! Baby trend does not have a satisfaction guarantee and will not help you if you buy this product and have a promlem!!(Believe me I tried)

"Great stroller, kids love it, I love it, but heavy..." 2010-03-08
By 3KiddosMom
I bought this stroller for my almost 2-year old and almost 4-year old. This stroller is perfect for them. It rolls and turns easily, very smooth ride. It is easy to fold, easy to unfold, comfortable for both kids. My only complaint is it is heavy. That's what makes it so sturdy and strong, and it's only an issue getting it in and out of the minivan, so I can live with that. Despite being heavy, it's not very bulky and large once opened (compared to other doubles) so it's great for me when I am shopping. My 6-year old has been known to ride in back of this stroller as well, so it holds up! I absolutely would recommend this stroller. It's sturdy, comfortable, easy to maneuver, and fun for the kids (especially the one riding in the back).

"fabulous stroller for infant / toddler combo!!!!!" 2010-03-05
By V. Garcia (USA)
The Joovy Caboose is a fantastic stroller. I absolutely love it. I had a Baby Trend sit'n'stand that was squashed in a car accident and I had paid 150 for it. I wanted to replace it with the identical model but when I saw that the Joovy Caboose was marked down to the same price, I got that instead. And I am so glad I did! It is a higher quality, easier to move. I walk a lot, and my now 11 month old proudly sits in front while my 3 1/2 yr old sits or stands in front of me. It does come with a contraption to put the baby car seat on the front which I have tried and it worked really well. It is easy to switch out and very secure, there's a strap for it. All in all, I am very pleased with this stroller and can highly recommend it. I'd give the Baby Trend 4 stars, the joovy is a better quality. One more thing, it is quite a bit heavier that the Baby Trend one. But that's because there's more metal vs. plastic on it. And it does not come with a parent organizer, but it does have some netting behind the seat to put stuff into, and a large basket underneath.

"Double stroller without the bulk - great for toddler and baby" 2009-12-12
By S. Schaefer (VT)
We love the Joovy Caboose. Our 2 year old can stand while the 2 month old infant is in her car seat up front with the included car seat adaptor. Toddler cannot sit on the bench when the car seat (Graco Snugrider) is attached because it requires the front seat to be reclined. Looking forward to when the baby can sit in the front seat without a car seat (6 months of age and able to sit without support, according to the instruction book), so that the toddler can sit on the bench. He loves to sit and ride around the house on the bench seat, very exciting because it minimally restricts his mobility and makes him feel like a "big boy" - it's easy for a toddler to get on and off the stroller.

Also, the design is nice and simple, I like the color options and minimalist style, and it is not too much larger than a regular size single stroller when folded. The price is great for what you get.

"Great for two kids, a little cumbersome." 2010-02-27
By Heather L. Waite
My wife and I recently purchased this stroller for our two children, ages 6 months and 3 years. We are very happy with it. It takes up as much space, when folded as our current single seat Graco, which is fantastic. Obviously it is a little bigger when operational, making mall and store travel a little difficult, though that is to be expected. The conversion of the rear seat from "sit to stand" is the only complaint that we have. It can be quite difficult to remove the seat and time consuming. In addition there is no place to put the seat, with the stroller once it is removed.

 "Very Pleased" 2010-02-01
By R. Smith (DAYTON, OH, US)
I purchased this double stroller about a month ago and LOVE IT. It is easier to maneuver than my single stroller (an older, well-used Graco) and fairly lightweight compared to other double strollers I tested. It is about as compact as any other double stroller because for the most part they all fold down to the same size. It does fit into the trunk of our 4-door, mid-sized sedan. It did take me a little while to learn how to convert the stroller into a sit-and-stand, but once I had done it the first time it was quite simple and relatively quick to convert. My favorite features of this stroller are: the one-hand lever to collapse the stroller, easy maneuverability (especially for a double), ability to place the car seat in either seat, the raised back seat (allows both children to see out and provides better access to the basket beneath), the easy lift-up child trays and of course, the sit-and-stand feature. The down sides that I have found: the basket underneath is a bit difficult to access (though this is necessary to accommodate the sit-and-stand feature), and the front seat doesn't recline very far (however, the only way to improve this would be to lengthen the stroller as a whole which would make it less compact and less maneuverable). After researching quite a few different strollers and testing out as many as I could find in the stores, I am very please with the Baby Trend stroller that I purchased and would highly recommend it.

I reviewed many double strollers before picking this one. I love the fact that I can use my Evenflo carrier on it and not have to purchase another one. I find it very easy to manuver, even one handed. My only issue is that the storage basket underneath is not useful at all. I have to hang my diaper bag on the handle. It is heavy but I expected that with a double stroller. I have recommended it to several friends.

Pros: car seat snaps in front and back, has 4 cup holders, folds up and down easy, stores easily upright without falling over, lots of space for both kids and back seat sits high so you can see out, back seat reclines enough for two month old to comfortably sit in and not slide around. cons: like most doubles it is heavy and large, basket is hard to get to

 "Great double stroller" 2009-12-20
By PB Max
We bought this stroller in anticipation of our second child. Our first is 20 months old and our second is now four weeks old. We wanted a stroller that was able to accommodate the many growing phases of both our children, without buying several strollers. I love that we can put our Chicco infant seat in the front and our toddler can sit in the back. As our infant grows, they can both sit and then eventually, our toddler can stand or sit backwards. It is extremely sturdy and I think it is a great product for the cost. This is the only stroller we will need as these boys grow. Plus the colors are great. I highly recommend it.

I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 2 month old and this is the best stroller ever!! It has so many option. It's lightweight and easy to fold up and push around. The handle to me is a little longer than most my husband that is 6'2" loves it cause he dosent have to bend over to push it. The only down fall is you can't really use the basket underneath. It's very easy to push around the wheels are great. My son the older child loves either to sit or stand plus I can always use the regular seat. My Saftey first carseat also fits in the front which most car seats should I haven't seen one that hasn't worked yet. We love this stroller great price and I'd buy it again!!! Oh I ordered it from amazon.com and did reg. Shipping and got it the next day!!

"Good for kids having gap of 0.5-3.5 years" 2009-11-05
By T. Gupta (California, CA)
Very good stroller but since I bought when I had second kid with an older sibling of 5 years. But still I use it but cannot take full advantage of it. The very first thing I had to do was to remove the rear canopy and rear seat; cause there is no way a 5 year old can sit front facing. And in that case I should have bought the one without rear canopy and seat there by not paying the premium for having having extra seat and canopy.

I would have loved this stroller if my kids were 3 years apart and would have given a 5 star rating but just this is not perfect fit for me; I have given 4 stars.

Overall, the stroller is a value for money. Other cons are same with any other double stroller...little difficult to operate, too big, bulky.

One thing I didn't like it was if there is anything in stroller basket, it is difficult to close and stuff in the basket may fall also.
