You have to have one of these for a newborn. They are just too tiny to put properly in the car seat or stroller. Yes, the baby can get a bit hot -- but if I have to chose between a little hot and flopping around in the car seat, I would go with this. It works really well -- The best I have seen. I've loaned this to friends to use for their babies.



The only negative is that the baby's head can still seem a little floppy. Perhaps you need pads for the straps? I think I will try that with this baby. Also, don't buy pink lined if you plan on having another kid. I bought this last baby at a discount store that only had pink, but we are having a boy this time. Obviously not going to buy a new one, but wish I had a neutral color -- not that my newborn will care one way or the other (though perhaps he will at 15 when he is in pink for half of his baby pictures:).

This is our third baby and our third attempt to find a car seat support system that works. This one by far is better than all the others we have tried. It is no way near as flimsy or thin as the others!!!



GOOD:

* It is thicker than any other we have found and so soft! I seriously want one for myself :)

* It covers way more space than most

* It is easy to place and fits our Graco car seat with no problems

* Easy to clean



BAD:

* It does shift sometimes when we pick her up but we have found that they all shift so we can't hold that against them, and honestly... it shifts way less than the others we have owned.

* It is thicker than all the other ones we have purchased which is good and bad since it does get hotter that the other kinds.

product does what it's supposed to -- it supports the head and body. However, the baby does seem to sweat in it and it does not stay put over time. Whenever I pick the baby up, the entire thing shifts, and quality of the entire item is flimsy. For the price I think it's a fair deal though. You wouldn't be wasting money, but it's not all thumbs up.

I bought this item at a local specialty store and the clerk assured me the item was BPA free. When I got it home and opened it I saw the dreaded #7 recycle code on the white part. I contacted Baby Bjorn to clarify. Here is what they said:



"BABYBJÖRN and Plastic Safety: When it comes to the material used in the production of our products, we put significant effort into finding materials that meet our high standards of quality and safety. To guarantee the safety of our plastic products, all BABYBJÖRN Kitchen and Bathroom products are tested by Specialized Technology Resources (STR), an independent global provider of quality assurance testing. All plastics used in the production of our Kitchen products fulfill the demands of the European (EEC),and the American (FDA) Standard for plastics, and are classified as food-safe. Through testing, all of our Kitchen products have been designated PVC-free, phthalates-free and lead-free. Recent studies by health organizations such as the National Institute of Health have raised concerns about the safety ofBisphenol-A (BPA) in plastic products. BPA is an industrial chemical that is used to manufacture polycarbonate plastic.Polycarbonate plastic is the plastic that has caused considerable recent controversy because of its use in baby bottlemanufacturing and because it has been proven to leach BPA. Polycarbonate plastic is not used in the production of any BABYBJÖRN baby products and all BABYBJÖRN products with a plastic component are BPA-free. I wouldn't have a problem spending nearly $20 on a plate for my son to use provided it would stay in place, be difficult to launch across the room or clean easily. Alas this doesn't fit the bill.



Nothing special with the plate, just another chunk of plastic dinnerware to be buried in the pantry along with the rest (at a quarter of the price). I'm pretty disappointed.

These are by far my favorite dishes for my Twins to eat out of and we have a lot of different bowls.



My girls are able to grab more food out of these than any of their other dishes, this is due to the sloped & smooth insides.



This does not slide all over their high chair tray, it stays right where I put it.



It does not tip as many of their other bowls do.



These are easy to clean & I hand wash them. I just un-snap the 2 pieces wash them and snap them back together when they are dry. This is VERY easy but a child would not be able to do it.



These also fit together so they take up less space!!



These are a little pricy but I figured since it was something we would be using EVERYDAY, several times a day, it was worth getting something that worked great and would not wear out.



Several people have complained that their child is able to pick these up & throw them and are dissapointed. Ummmmm, DUH!! If your child is able to pick things up and throw them since this is not glued down, held by some magnetic force, etc. then yes, they will be able to pick it up. That is just common sense. These are just harder to pick up. Try teaching your child some manners, yes, even at 1 year old children can be taught not to do something. If you are having trouble with your child throwing their plate then perhaps you should be looking for a book on teaching your child some manners instead of trying to fix the problem with a bowl!

Both my wife and I like these spoons. I like the fact that you can get a good amount of food to put in our babies mouth. Since her attention span is limited, I try to feed her as quickly as possible.



It is nice that our baby can easily grip these spoons, put either end in her month and munch away on the spoon. They are small enough that when she gets a bit older she can attempt to feed herself.



We prefer to use these spoons over the gerber spoons we used previously.



All in all a great spoon worth the money.

The spoons are cute and very functional. My baby was 6 months old when we started feeding her purees, and this spoon is perfect. It's round and has no edge that could possibly hurt her, even when she's playing instead of eating her food. The tip is made of soft but sturdy plastic and is very gentle on her gums, but not so soft that I would worry her biting into it. Also, the eyes on the spoon proves to be a great entertainment for babies - my daughter would stare at them at times with a funny face. The novelty has since worn off, but she still loves her spoons. And so do I.
