"Perfect for Cleaning Bottles" 2010-01-17
By Martha R. Craycroft
A must have for cleaning your bottles. Good for many brands, not just Dr. Browns.

"Wire stem breaks" 2009-12-21
By Hiren Chandiramani (San Francisco, CA United States)
Initially, I was very happy with the brush as it did a good job of cleaning the wide babies bottles we have. However, after only about 2 months of use, the wire stem broke making it useless.

"Love the suction cup stand" 2009-12-14
By S. Conner (Sacramento, CA United States)
I have this brush and love it. I use it to clean all my baby bottles and breast pump parts. Yes, the wire stem is delicate, but people must be scrubbing pretty hard for it to be bending and breaking. I always wash my bottles and breast pump parts immediately after use, so I don't have to scrub the bottles/parts very hard to get them clean. The sponge fits great into the breast pump nozzles so it's nice not to have to use a separate wire brush to clean those parts. The suction cup is great since I hate leaving cleaning sponges on the sink/counter.

"Now I know why the Amazon overall rating is so low" 2009-11-30

This thing is a piece of garbage. The wire started bending the FIRST time I used it. I am going to read reviews before buying my next (4th) brush.

"Worthless suction cup" 2009-10-28
By mm
The main reason I wanted this was to have a bottle brush handy on the counter, and this is sold with a suction cup "stand" that the brush sits in. But the suction cup doesn't stay attached to the sink longer than a minute or so. I have a scrub brush that sits atop a suction cup and it stays attached forever, so I know it's not the sink that's the problem.
Also, the nipple "brush" isn't actually a brush -- it's more like a hard plastic nub with ridges. For cleaning out baby bottle nipples it's probably quite effective, but for general household use as a brush for small items (e.g. sippy cups, reusable water bottles, etc) it's useless.
I gave it 1 star though, because the bottle brush itself works fine. Just don't buy this if you:
- Care about having the suction cup stand; or
- Plan on using it as a general-purpose bottle brush (as opposed to only for baby bottles).
I just replaced the Dr. Brown's brush with a Munchkins bottle/nipple brush w/suction cup stand and that works much better. Only thing I don't like about the Munchkin brush is the handle is kind of short (makes it a bit clumsy to use) and the head is a little big (might not fit in a really narrow-mouthed bottle).
