I got this specifically to be used as a travel high-chair. My in-laws recently moved to a small apartment and they don't have the space to store even a travel high chair. It worked fine on their narrow-backed dining chairs. But it didn't work at all for standard-width, solid-backed chairs in a hotel we stayed at a month later. My son is only 9 months old and around 20lbs, and this seat is supposed to work until at least 18 months. It was very frustrating. I can't understand why the strap part isn't longer to accommodate wider chairs and/or bigger kids. And the placement of the velcro is such that there are only a couple of settings to attach the child to the chair. Kids don't just come in small and large, so if you're trying to SECURELY attach a kid who is between the two velcro settings, you're in trouble.
This is probably fine if you only want it for the shopping cart or to cover restaurant high chairs. But except for with spindle-backed chairs where you can more easily choose how to attach it so it's secure, this just doesn't work as a high-chair stand-in.

I bought one of these here on Amazon and one at a consignment store for my twins. These are great now that they are getting too heavy for the Snuglis. If I take one out with me I bring this or if we have to do big shopping we bring both. I didn't want some big puffy looking shopping cart cover. I am not paranoid about every germ but I definitely like that this keeps them from eating the handle bar. This works very well from the time they start sitting up and on. When my boys first starting sitting up I loved the velcro "seatbelt" because it keeps them so snug and secure. Now that they are more wiggly and don't want to sit still it is still great because now they can't jump out on me!! Only con is I wish this had a little travel bag to put it in because it is a little on the big side. I really just kept the bag it came in for storage.

We bought our NoJo Secure-Me nine years ago, when my third-grader was a squirmy baby. It went everywhere with us until he was three, then got put away until our two-year-old daughter arrived. We keep this tucked away in a seat-back storage pocket in our mini-van, and it comes out regularly at the grocery store -- it holds babies snugly in shopping carts when they're too young to sit securely with just those little canvas straps that most shopping carts now have. The velcro straps are wide and long, wrapping securely around shopping carts, high chairs; in a pinch, I've even used it to keep my son or daughter anchored on a regular chair -- not boosted up to the table, but at least steady and still, so I could feed him or her from the table. We use the bottom seat separate from the top shopping cart handle cover most of the time, but the handle cover is definitely useful in those early days, when babies are young and more susceptible to every passing germ. This is a great, indispensable product, easily and fully washable (just remember to attach the velcro straps to each other, or it'll catch on other items in your washer and dryer), and a fantastic deal to boot.

This cover is perfect. We didn't want one of those huge puffy ones..this is two pieces..use only one for a high chair and two for the shopping cart..It can be a little annoying carrying it into the store..I recommend getting a tote bag to store it in your car. That seems to help a lot. THe color is nice and it washes really well.
