I drive a Honda Odyssey with leather seats so it was important to protect the seat. Mat works great but I wish it would be longer on the seat bottom because it didn't quite cover it all. I liked the gray color and thickness of the product.

I'm buying a second of these for our van. I like it because it fits well, is a light color, and grips instead of sliding like a lot of cars protectors. We also never use the mesh holders like we have on one of our other car seat protectors so we don't miss that. I also wanted to comment that there is a strap that holds this up to the back of the seat of your car so it won't fall down if you just have a booster or something like that.

The product will serve its purpose. I just wish it was a little larger to cover and protect the seat a little more.

I am not sure at what point I had read that these mats are not a good thing... Heard they prevent the seat belt tensioner from working properly. But did a lot of research about the Grip It and also it was recommended at a local baby store that is highly regarded.
We installed our car seat base and had more than the allowed 1 inch of movement, so the store recommended this - it did eliminate the movement. As far preventing seat damage, that wasn't one of our goals (though that is often one of the pitch lines for these items).
