This item is awesome for traveling. However, it was made for smaller car seats. When we attached it the way the instructions told us it was awkward. We ended up strapping it around her and it worked much better. It would work better for a booster seat rather than a full car seat, but it does fulfill its purpose. Otherwise we loved it. The sides were high enough to keep her toys for rolling off and my daughter was able to reach the cup holder by herself at only 16 months old. I looked a long time before making my purchase and I think we made the right decision in purchasing this product.

Ordered this for a 14 hour car ride, my 2 yr old used here and there, not very much but my 6 yr old used the entire trip. He used to play games, legos and draw. The only down fall is I do not know how safe it would be in a car accident, might want to investiage that prior to buying, otherwise, great product.

I can't say enough great things about this tray. It has made our life in the car SOOOOO much easier! Since we got the tray, trips in our car have been much easier with less complaining and whining... except when I forget to clip on the tray -- He wants it on for EVERY trip, whether he needs it or not.
My son mainly uses it to color, read books, do sticker books, play with his cars and eat. It makes eating on the run much easier and much less messy. We frequently bring his breakfast plate/bowl along on his way to school, which I would never do without the tray. We also use the tray to hold his portable DVD player on longer trips.
We have used this with both a Graco and Evenflo car seat and our friends that recommended it to us use it with their Britax. If it doesn't seem to fit, try putting the strap in a different spot. My son is five and has not yet figured out how to undo it himself, which could be good or bad. The tray has raised edges to keep toys and crayons from rolling off, has a long indented pencil holder at the top and a deep hole for a cup on the right. We have had this tray for three years and it still gets used on a daily basis.
The tray does get really dirty, but is easy to clean. My mom is able to fit the tray in her dishwasher, straps and all, but it will not fit in ours, so I keep a package of anti-bacteria wipes in the car to keep it clean.
I can really only say two things negatively about this product. One is that since it is a large tray there really isn't a good place to put it when not in use. I usually try to slip it between my son's car seat and the pull down arm rest, but it often ends up on the floor where it gets stepped on when my son gets in the car. I imagine this would be a bigger deal if I had two kids using two trays. The other thing is that I wonder how safe it would be in an accident. I haven't seen anything in the product description or reviews mentioning it as a safety problem, but I still worry about it.
Overall, this is definitely in my top five things you MUST have if you have kids. Oh, and a another suggestion is to get one of those clip-on book lights to go with it if you plan to travel in the dark.

This tray is nice and large. The cup holder is big and holds a tippy cup great. We used this for travel only. We usually eat our meal in the car rather than stop and this helped us to be able to feed our toddler. She liked having a tray to eat off of. She didn't really want it hooked on other than for eating, but I imagine she will as she gets older. The tray was easy to attach. It does slope down a little so her food did slide towards her some. However, for the most part, it was a big help. We used this for our 1 year old and we have a large Evenflo carseat that has arm rests. The tray rested on the arm rests. If you don't have arm rests, I don't think this tray would work well for you. I do think it was overpriced - it is literally a piece of plastic with two straps attached. Should have cost $15 or so.

I got this tray for my 4 year old son for a very long car trip- we were in the car for 24 hours over 4 days, plus sight seeing once we got to our destination. He really enjoyed being able to play with his cars on the tray and it was a great place for me to have a stable surface to fix lunches and snacks at rest stops. The only problem we had was getting the strap tight enough to hold the tray stable. Once we got it, the tray worked great. Our son was using the tray for lunch when we were in an accident that totaled our car, and the tray wasn't a problem.
We used this tray with a Graco Comfort Sport carseat.
