I love this booster. I love the fact that it latches to the seat and still uses the seat belt. The sides are very sturdy but do not obstruct his vision all around. It is a large booster and takes up quite a bit of space. It is not a problem for me but if you are putting multiple seats next to each other it may pose a problem.

I just purchased this a two days ago. I love the quality and the deep sides. My daughter is 3 1/2 I had to have a new car seat asap as my old one just got ruined. Luckily I have amazon prime and I had it overnighted for $4. My only complaint is that the min height is 38 in and 30 lbs. My daughter is 39 in and 35lbs. she does not look quit tall enough for it I would say min height of 41 in. When she feel asleep in it today her head was hanging out of the side which I am positive would not happen if she were a couple inches taller. So overall an excellent well made car seat, but maybe wait until 4 years old or a little bit taller. I think I will have to buy a cheap 5 point seat to put he in for a little longer. The padding is amazing compared with other seats in the store. So just check height measurments.

This is quite a solid booster, my kid loves it. It is nice to know that the booster seat has some side impact protection, but the seat is also quite heavy.
I am not sure I would call it "booster" since I think one has to fix the seat to the car, it feels to heavy to be sitting loosely and only held by the seat belt.
This brings us to the point that the seat is only easy to fixate to your car if you have the isofix latch system built into the back seat. Our car doesn't, but only has hook-up point for latches a bit further in the trunk. These hook-up points worked fine for our previous car seat, but not for the Monterey booster.
So I had to get some tools and straps to build something allowing to fix the seat into the car.
Given the price of the seat they could have provided some additional straps and things to allow fixing the seat to non-isofix cars.
I am particularly anoyed that they don't state this in the product description or write it on the packing or anything. So finding out that the seat is borderline incompatible with MOST cars, comes a bit like a surprise.

So happy we ordered this! I was afraid my 3 1/2 year old, 34 lb., 3'3" boy would be too small. But he is tall for his age, so we didn't have any problems with the seat-belt sitting on his neck like some people did. It rests across his chest and over his shoulder as it should. Secondly, we love the head support for when he sleeps. We take long trips to visit family, so this was important. Love the adjustable width too...will be great as he grows...nice and secure for his safety. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that we have to recline the seat just a tad so his head doesn't fall forward when sleeping. But then the directions say something about not recommending reclining the seat because it interferes with the safety of the seat. What?! Then why have the feature at all? I don't see how two or three inches of recline would affect the safety of the seat. But all in all, we're satisfied...love the two cup holders as well.

I have been searching a long time for the perfect booster for my 7 yr old. We do a lot of traveling and he complains a lot in his old booster.
I decided on this one and it is great. He was super excited to get it. The first time he sat in it he knew it was going to be good for him.
It is padded and well made. It is soo sturdy and I love that in a booster.
The seatbelt hugs him perfectly and I know he is safe since he can also sit correctly.
I also LOVE how Sunshine Kids STRESSES in the manual that a child is safer in a 5-point harness until 4 yrs and 40lbs or longer. Until they are mature enough to properly use a booster.
