The baby doesn't like the feel of them, makes an awful face at first like she's chewing on something rotten. Once she gets enough milk coming out she will suck on it, but it slips out a lot if you don't watch it. I have an issue with them staying sealed, the edges like to flip up, but these at least have the squared design with cut outs. Much better than the rounder models which I had an issue with because they kept flipping up over her nose and suctioning on, interfering with her breathing. Still have to work to keep them sealed and in her mouth, making it a pain, cause I only have two hands to position her with. They also make an annoying sucking noise sometimes. Overall, they are a savior, because she goes through a growth spurt every few weeks and seems to forget how to feed. She gets franticly hungry and clamps down before I can completely shove it all in her mouth. Her bite pressure is horrible and she cracks the upper base of my nipples when I try to latch her on. These help maintain a barrier that relieves the pressure and friction so I can prevent or heal any wear.

I'm a first time mother of twins that are so different. One likes to drink his milk fast and quick they other takes his time. At first I had all types of different holes in the nipples some would be too big for one baby or too small for the other. This nipple is the BEST! IT'S PERFECT! This is quite ingenious! I don't know if any other manufacturers have them, but they are such a great idea. Instead of a hole there is a slot in the top. Around the side are the marks I,II and III. You line up the marks with the baby's nose and that dictates how fast the flow of milk is. This teat allows a thicker liquid to flow through so you can add rice or another cereal of your choice if you need to. My baby is in the 90th percentile and at 8 weeks old Milk just wasn't enough. I put 1 tablespoon of rice in with 4 ounces of milk initially and then later on increased that to 2 tablespoons (all with doctor's approval). It is a much thicker liquid but flowed through this teat easily. I highly recommend these.

These pads are O.K. When I have used them they have moved around some, and that kind of defeats the purpose of the pad, but they are a nice size and thickness and seem to do their job when they are where they need to be. the lace is supposed to help them stay in place, but I think it didn't work to well with my choice of bra.

I wish that I could give these pads less than 1 star! I bought them because they seemed like such a good deal. A friend had given me the Dr. Brown's washable nursing pads and I loved them and wanted to get more. The packages looked similar and you got two extra pads for less money than the Dr. Brown's. The catch--these pads were much too small! I wear medium-support style nursing bras with stretchy spandex cups so it matters what the pads look like underneath my bra and clothing. These pads made me look too weird so I could not wear them in public. I took back the unopened packages (don't know what to do with the opened one--burn them?) and spent the extra $ on a quality product. Just wanted to give a fair warning to you who are buying them on the internet. Happy nursing!
