You will not find a better bib anywhere. The innovative Crumb Chum sets a new standard in quality and convenience for bibs. Invented by a mother-daughter team, "Grammy" Marsha and Stephanie Mintz, it truly hits the mark on fit, function and design. Most bibs cover only the chest. Crumb Chum's patented design is longer, with special wings to provide coverage from chin to waist and across the lap, over the legs and to the toes, and a wide "pucker pocket" that catches every spill. You'll change fewer clothes and clean fewer chairs, floors and car seats with this bib. The polyurethane-coated polyester fabric is waterproof, yet softer and lighter than practically any other bib. Infants that reject other bibs will not even notice this--it fits like a second shirt. It wipes clean with a sponge or damp cloth, but it's also completely safe in the dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. Crumb Chum easily folds small enough to fit in any purse or pants pocket. Because it's so compact, lightweight and easy to clean, it's perfect for restaurants, the car, or airplane travel. You can actually eat out without destroying restaurants. Because it covers so well, and the designs are cute without being cutesy, you'll be able to use the Crumb Chum with messy art projects long after your toddler has graduated from needing a bib at mealtime. Comes in three patterns (clouds, denim and dalmations) and two sizes (infant (5-15 months) and toddler (15 months-2 years)). Crumb Chums have been featured in "Kids Today" and "Pregnancy" magazines and on the "Today" show. Order a couple for home and a couple for the road.

"Get a large bib or towel" 2009-01-19

I was disappointed in this bib. I was thinking it would be heavier, especially for the price. Great idea, but it should be cheaper for what you're getting.

"This is the only bib that works!" 2006-08-17
By cukydoe
This is the World's Biggest Bib! All the other bibs are too small. I have tried all of them but none covers the lap and legs and when the messy children are feeding themselves it mostly goes on their lap and legs. It is so easy to wash and dries quickly or it can just be tossed in the washer. It fold so small it can fit in my pocket for on the go and the pocket actually stands out and catches food. This is truly an amazing new product that everyone will just love! TRY IT YOU WILL LOVE IT!

"The best bib on the planet" 2006-07-27
By todhaha (Seattle, WA USA)
I originally wrote this for the denim Crumb Chum we have, but it applies to all of them.

We've tried every bib out there, and nothing comes close to the Crumb Chum. It is one of the single most useful baby products in the possession of anyone fortunate enough to acquire one -- the luxury sedan of eating accessories.

They are made of the same kind of waterproof polyester fabric that some shower liners are made from, but a bit more lightweight and breathable.

They may cost a little more than basic bibs, but they last a lot longer too, since they don't crack like a lot of the plastic bibs we had. They also probably save far more than what we paid for them in loads of laundry we don't have to do. Mealtime used to mean an automatic change of clothes and an outfit thrown in the wash. Either that or stripping our kids down for every meal. And even if we were willing to get them naked, there would still be a half hour cleaning the chair, as bits of lunch seemed to find their way into every possible crevice. And car seats? Forget it--in the lining, between the lining and the shell, in the seat, under the floor mat, in the doorwell. I think I found a cheerio in the glove compartment once. Eating in restaurants was also tough. We really like indian food and so do both of our kids, but a ten-minute post-dinner ritual of sweeping up saffron rice with a napkin, not to mention suffering under waitstaff glowers, removes much of the appeal of dining out. With the Crumb chum, I have given our 2-year old pad thai at the dining room table and yogurt tubes in the car and walked away unscathed.

They are really comfortable, enough so that our daughter is willing to wear them as an apron or smock for crafts and water play.

They are SUPER easy to clean. Most of the time, I just wipe them down with a sponge, or hold them under the faucet, then let them dry on a dish rack. If they're really goopy, or it's berry season, they can go in the wash (and dryer) with other clothes.

Since they travel so well, we like to keep a couple at home, a couple in the backpack and a couple in our picnic basket for concerts, camping trips, etc. We got them in all the patterns, since our daughter tends to cycle through preferences.

FYI - The manufacturer recommends the toddler size for kids 15 months and above, but we put them on our 11-month old, and though she was swimming in it a bit, it worked great.

"A must have for the diaper bag!" 2009-11-03
By MiniBaby (Vancouver, BC)
We have been using the crumb chum for a number of months now for my son.

I keep one in my diaper bag for use at all times. It folds up really small and takes up no room at all.

It makes eating out a breeze as it covers my son from head to toe.

Sure ... it doesn't have sleeves on it but I have three of those at home and they would be much bulkier in my diaper bag.

A quick wipe with a baby wipe and it's back in the diaper bag after lunch. It's also easy to throw in the washing machine.

A few months of use and it is still in tip-top shape.

I highly recommend it!

"The best bib we own!" 2009-05-26
By Mary S. Bell (Alexandria, VA)
My son wears 12-18 months clothes so I wasn't sure if this bib would fit him. It does and it will for a while. It's the best bib I have ever owned. It covers him, it's light weight, and it's super easy to clean. I rinse it with soap and water and it air drys in about one hour. It's dry in more than enough time for the next meal or snack. I also throw it in the washing machine every few days. It's very sturdy. My son loves spaghetti and all the foods that make the biggest messes. This bib keeps him clean. I highly recommend it and the next bigger size as he grows - we have both!

 "Lovwe it" 2009-04-02
By Susan Martin (USA, TX)
Love it , love it, love it.

My daughter is 5 and makes a mess eating soup, spagetti, etc. Those baby bibs don't cut it. Seems like the food lands in her lap once she was in a

big chair and this protects her clothes from all those hard to get out stains. I love how this covers her whole lap. They are light weight enough that you can wash in the sink and let dry over a rack or throw in the washer. Only wish they made them in pink- for girls. But I got the clouds and the hot air balloons-make sure you get toddler size if you have 3-7 year olds.

 "really helps" 2008-08-29
By Lisa Evangelista (Millbrook, NY)
this is a great idea and it really does help keep the food from going all over them. The only thing I have to do since my son is new to the world of eating soft food is to put a regular bib under the crumb chum because it's not really water resistant so his clothes get wet right under his mouth where the food drools onto the crumb chum. other than that, I think this is a great bib and it saves me from having to change his clothes as often.

"The only bib for self feeder!" 2008-03-01
By D. Goble (Minot, North Dakota United States)
We have had these bibs around our home for 3 years now. I have 1 toddler a preschooler and one on the way. Have never had any problems with them. They are washable and dry-able. The only thing starting to show wear is the Velcro which is easy to replace.

"really great..but wish there were a bigger kid size" 2010-01-23
By Stacey Leigh Powell (Reading, PA)
I've been through my share of bibs and these are by far the best. My 3 y.o. and 2 y.o. quickly adjusted to the firmer silicone style without complaint. Both can remove them themselves, but it hasnt been an issue. My only suggestion would be that I wish there were a bigger size for my bigger kids. I still like to keep them covered up with messier meals and these bibs do a pretty good job of keeping their clothes clean, but are just sized more for the 1-2 year old. still it is my bib of choice.

"Can wash in the sink!" 2010-01-21
By Andrew Vaughan (California)
We got a pair of these after being frustrated by having to launder our baby's old bibs. The bibs we could find at Target, etc, had a plastic coating but some kind of cloth back that took a long time to dry...we had to treat them more like laundry than dishes. These bibs are great...they are easy to put on the baby (and, at 1 year old, she isn't yet strong enough to rip it off, which she could do with the velcro ones months ago), they don't stain or degrade, and you can wash it in the sink and dry it quickly with a towel.

One caution...we bought these thinking that they were rubber, but they aren't...it's a pretty firm plastic. We were initially frustrated trying to get the bib on her while in her high chair (we have a Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat - Blue/Green/Gray), because the lip of the bib was the same height as the seat tray. But we settled on putting the tray at its most open notch, and the bib goes between the baby and the tray...this works quite well. The bibs are a little pricey, but I think they earn their keep after a few months.

As a side note, Amazon sent us the wrong color. I don't remember what we picked anymore, but we got the blue and red pair. And of course, it doesn't really matter a bit, they look just fine.

"Why didn't we own these months ago?!?" 2010-01-21
By Mom of Many
These bibs make everything else we've tried seem like a total waste of money! Honestly, I feel like we've tried them all---the fabric bibs with pockets, plain bibs, bibs that are semi-molded...but these are fantastic! I think they'll turn into my staple shower gift, since they are impossible (at least for us!) to find in a store and I just happened to see them on Amazon and decided to give them a try. They are shorter in length than I was expecting, but I've actually found that it's perfect that way--you don't have to worry about the pocket getting in the way of her tray on her high chair, etc. And they catch absolutely everything--I have to admit I'm a bit of a neat freak and hated letting her "experiment" with feeding herself--until we found these! I was a bit nervous at first, too, about the closure...but they're easy to close one-handed and she can't come close to pulling them off (and she's the champ at that). I can't comment on durability, we've only owned and used them for a few months, but they still look brand new and never a stink issue like with so many others we've tried.

 "My Favorite Baby Product" 2010-01-18
By N. Kim-Failing (Phelan, CA)
I only write reviews when I either love or hate a product. I purchased two of these when my daughter was little over one after I got tired of using those bibs with pockets that never stay open. Because these bibs have pockets that are wide and stay open, the mess I had to clean up after meals decreased significantly. I would say about 10% of what used to land on the floor ended up on the floor with these bibs. My friends and family who see these bibs think they are just an amazing invention, and they are!

My daughter is 2 1/2 now and these bibs are still in EXCELLENT condition (some complained about holes and I think they may just have gotten a sour lemon). It does not stain and it does not smell. It is so easy to clean and they are dishwasher safe. They are harder to take off but my daughter eventually figured out how soon after we got them. However, she now will not eat her meals without her bib. She has too much fun spooning out the food from it. The only thing I have to be careful about is making sure I don't snap my daughter's hair in the bib when putting it on.

"worked well for awhile, then cracked" 2010-01-05
By shoutout (Europe)
I loved these bibs for about a year, then they both cracked in the bottom of the catcher and were pretty useless if my toddler was eating or drinking anything soft enough to get through the crack. We much prefer the Kiddopotamus bibs, they're more flexible so they can roll up in the diaper bag (these are too stiff to roll like those do) and they are dishwasher safe and less expensive. For our next baby we're sticking with the Kiddopotamus bibs for sure.
