"An amazing car seat that isn't the size of a tank..." 2010-04-30
By Cindy Z (Chicago IL)
I bought this to use in my small Pontiac and it has proven to be better than any other car seat we have used. It installed amazingly well in my car as well as my husbands SUV. There was zero movement and adjusting straps is the easiest I've seen. There's actually room to move the seats back and you can sit other people in the back...it's not just two teenie spaces people have to squeeze into anymore. AND seat belts on either side are accessible. The seat sits higher up and seems very comfortable to my daughter. She love it too...always says bye to it when we leave the car. We've used a Maxi Cosi Priori, Britax Marathon, and Safety 1st Avenue which were all put to shame by this cute, little rookie. We have another baby on the way and when the time comes this will be the seat we repurchase. VERY pleased.

 "Godsend!" 2010-04-16
By A. Thames (Tualatin, OR USA)
This car seat is a Godsend! We have a VW Rabbit 2 door. Once the baby was getting way too big for his infant seat we started to panic. We tried literally every car seat at virtually every store and nothing would fit without pushing the passenger seat almost all the way to the dash. I am only 5'4" and I couldn't even get into the passenger seat! I found the Cocorro online and crossed my fingers when I ordered. It fits like a dream! And there is enough room in the back seat for my nearly 6' tall teenage son to still fit. There is even enough room to add another car seat if the time ever comes. The baby loves it. He can sit higher up even rear facing, and it is super softly padded for comfort. It sits high enough that when we turn the car seat to face forward next month after his first birthday, he will be able to see out the windows. We got that fab red color to hide dirty hand prints, and the fabric looks like it will wear like iron.

Thank you Combi! You let me keep my beloved Rabbit and saved me thousands by not having to buy another car. Thanks Amazon for the great deal that saved me $20 on this car seat and FREE SHIPPING!!

"Love the size and Color" 2010-04-13
By K. Filippetti (Ellington, CT USA)
We have the Cocorro and the Recaro. We love both of the seats. I have to say that installing both forward facing was fairly easy. For the Cocorro it took more time to read the directions and find the latch hidden in seat than it did to install. I didn't try it rear facing yet because I can still use an infant carrier for my younger daughter. The Recaro is a lot bigger and great in the SUV but I wanted something a little smaller in the A4. This seat is perfect. You still have full view out the back window. As a comparison to the both, its harder to get at the strap adjustments on the back of the Recaro (Como). The panel does not come off easily or at least the one I have is a real pain. I now just leave it off now that its forward facing. The back of the Cocorro is easy to remove and easy to adjust the straps. My older daughter loved the colors and of course wanted them all. She is on the very small side, so this seat will last for a while with her. If you have a long little one, this seat might not last that long because it is small. The Recaro is much higher. I have travelled with the Recaro and it does fit in planes but is heavier and kind of awkward, especially if you are flying alone with a toddler. I imagine the Cocorro will be much easier to fly with both because its light and because getting it in the airplane seat will probably be a lot easier.

The Cherry Pie is a little darker than I was expecting, but i figure that is better in the long run.

My daughter loves both seats. She is comfy in both and only fusses due to the time in the car not the seat. We recommend both highly.

"Great in all of our cars, including my Mini Cooper!" 2010-04-03
By J. Liotta
We installed this seat rear-facing in a Honda Insight to replace a Snugride when our daughter outgrew the infant carrier. The Combi rear-facing took up less room than the Snugride! We recently switched the seat around to forward facing now that our daughter is old enough. All of us really like the Combi, which I originally picked due to the size restrictions in my mini cooper. The seat was installed forward facing in the mini, so I can't say exactly how the Combi functions rear-facing in a mini. I can tell that the seat would fit rear-facing in a mini, but that getting a baby in and out of that configuration would not be easy. Those, like me, who love their minis might be ok with this.

We haven't had any of the 'wobble' problems that some other reviewers experienced; all of our cars have LATCH. We recently went on a multi-state trip and took the Combi. It was a very easy seat to travel with, and we had no problems securing it in any of the three rental cars we had. The licorice color is very attractive and sleek. Love it so far.

"Nice little car seat, tuff install" 2010-03-18
By C. Cook (Oklahoma)
After researching car seats & reading reviews here, I purchased my Cocorro in the strawberry shake color for my 1 yr. old to replace her Graco Snugride. Although I don't have a compact car, my 3 girls were pretty cramped in my '94 Bonneville w/ my 4 yr. old in a convertable car seat & my petite 9 yr. old using a booster.I was impressed that the Cocorro was lite but sturdy & I LOVE the color! The installation I DID NOT love! After reading the instructions MANY times, I tried to install it repeatedly & could not get it secure in the rear facing position. My husband wrestled w/ the seat for 30 minutes & it was still not secure. Luckily, there was a Safe Kids car set check event at our local fire station the weekend after the carseat arrived. One of the technicians was familiar w/the seat & said it was a great seat:"safe, well made & not huge". However, she'd never installed the seat in a car as old as mine. It took 4 car seat techs and 3 firemen nearly 45 mins. to get the seat installed--after they almost decided it could not be safely installed in my car!It is secure now, but what a nightmare! I would recommend getting help to install the seat from the gitgo to avoid the stress. My opinion:a nice, lightweight, sturdy car seat that is a tough install, but worth purchasing.
